Rosita Milagros

The Rosita Milagros restaurant opened its doors on October 20, 2015, in the La Rosaleda neighborhood in Ponferrada, just in front of the shopping center. It occupies a premises with a ground floor and basement, where we preserved the original structure but completely renovated the rest to provide a retro and cozy atmosphere, inspired by the memory of our grandparents — Rosita and Milagros — and the objects and materials they used in their homes. We want each visit to awaken a sweet nostalgia.

From the beginning, we bet on a varied menu formed by dishes that have accompanied me throughout life, designed to share and bring families and friends together around the table. Some dishes delight the little ones and others are intended for parents or grandparents, but all have a common spirit: enjoying together. Shortly after opening, we detected a need: our weekday clients, mostly shopping center workers, were looking for a faster and more economical option to eat. Thus, our daily menu was born, available from Tuesday to Friday, which has become one of our main pillars, providing regularity and product utilization.

Over these years we have organized numerous tasting dinners with wineries from El Bierzo and other regions, which have allowed us to enrich the menu with new proposals. We also established the now traditional Botillo Thursdays, available from October to Easter, with a complete menu for only €15, a complete success among our customers. During the pandemic, we reinvented ourselves with the #adosvelas dinners, initiated as a protest against the electricity price increase. Lit only with candles and live music, they have become a weekly event every Wednesday and Thursday, providing warmth and a unique atmosphere even in the coldest months. Today we continue working with the same perseverance and enthusiasm as the first day, with new projects underway and the hope of continuing to make Rosita Milagros a special place in Ponferrada.
