Located in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, in the center of Ponferrada’s historic old town, in one of the three mansions that make up the Hotel Aroi Bierzo Plaza, where the most important writer El Bierzo has produced in its history lived: D. Enrique Gil y Carrasco. Our restaurant takes its name from one of his poems, “La Violeta.”

Based on a dynamic menu of traditional market cuisine, it has an intimate and cozy indoor dining room, as well as a large terrace in the Plaza itself, open in summer and closed and heated in winter, for use all year round. In addition to the varied menu, there is a daily menu from Monday to Friday at lunchtime.
