La Cárcel Artesanía
This Shop – Gallery and Artistic Workshop is located in the heart of the Old Town of Ponferrada. On Carnicerías Street, next to the Bierzo Museum and the old City Jail and Court, right next to the old “Trace of the Wall” and the Clock Arch. Every day, it is possible to observe, even from the street, in the showcase, a Demonstrative Workshop creating “Murano Glass Beads.” Occasionally, Participatory Workshops are also held, such as on European Crafts Days in April. You can find reproductions of Traditional Jewelry from the area, among other items, all handmade. Custom pieces and original designs are also made.
