Railway Museum

The Ponferrada Railway Museum is one of the most outstanding cultural and historical gems of El Bierzo and a must-visit for those wishing to explore the region’s industrial and mining heritage. Located in the former locomotive depot of the Ponferrada-Villablino (PV) railway line, this museum offers a journey into the past through railway development linked to coal extraction and the economic growth of the area.

The museum is set in a place full of history and nostalgia, where steam locomotives, vintage wagons, and machinery from the daily life of the most important mining railway in northwest Spain are still preserved.
